AACHWA acknowledges that state borders don’t always reflect the way artists and communities move, work and live — particularly in regions such as the Western Desert, where artists often travel across the NPY Lands, Northern Territory and South Australia.

The Code is a voluntary industry code of conduct that sets best practice standards for fair, transparent and ethical trade with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and their art. Note: Stall signs are limited in length, so we recommend choosing a short name (if possible) that is easy to read. For example, ‘Mangkaja Arts’ instead of ‘Mangkaja Arts Resource Agency’.
