Noongar Arts Program artists Beverly Thomson and Rhonda Norman will guide you through the process of silk painting. Learn traditional techniques and modern adaptations while exploring the deep cultural significance of mark-making and storytelling.
Beverly, a Yamatji woman, and Rhonda, a respected Noongar Wilman Elder, will share their creative journeys and help you craft your own beautiful silk scarf to take home. This workshop is a rare opportunity to connect with Noongar artistic traditions and celebrate the rich heritage of South-West Aboriginal culture.
We suggest wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.
