Apply for Revealed Exhibition 2026

Entry to the Revealed: New & Emerging WA Aboriginal Artists exhibition is open to new and emerging Aboriginal artists who were born in and/or live in, work in or have a strong connection to Western Australia.

Applications from established Aboriginal artists exploring new directions, mediums and processes will be considered at the discretion of the Selection Panel.

The Revealed Exhibition will be held in Boorloo (Perth) from mid-April to June 2026.

Revealed: New and Emerging WA Aboriginal Artists is delivered under the custodianship of the Aboriginal Art Centre Hub Western Australia (AACHWA) – the peak advocacy and resource body for Aboriginal art centres in the state.

The form cannot be downloaded, but you can save and continue the form at any time before the application closing date.

  • Works selected and artists notified: early October 2025
  • Works must be delivered: by late November 2025*
  • Revealed Exhibition: mid-April – June 2026

How to apply

  • Artist/s can apply as an artist and/or as a group/collaboration.
  • There is an application form for artists and a separate form for groups/collaborations.
  • If you are applying as both an artist and as a group/collaboration, you must complete 2 separate forms.
  • You must clearly identify the main point-of-contact in the application form ‘contact details’ section. This person (either the artist or a selected representative) must be available for communication throughout all stages of the exhibition process, including the lead-up, installation, exhibition period and de-installation.

Completing the form on behalf of an artist

An art centre or selected representative can complete the application form on an artist’s behalf.

Applying as a group or collaboration (i.e., more than 1 artist)

What to prepare for your application

The application for will take roughly 20 minutes to complete for the first artwork you are submitting. Additional artworks will likely take 10 to 15 minutes each to complete.

We recommend preparing the following information and materials in advance of starting the application form.

Artist eligibility & application contact details:

  • Artist eligibility details including:
    • If you have had work collected (name of collection)/are represented by a gallery/have won any prizes etc. (if applicable)
    • Define your connection to WA (if you do not live in, work in or were born in WA)
    • How many times you have exhibited in Revealed
  • Contact details for the main point-of-contact
  • ABN (if applicable)
  • Art centre details (if affiliated with an art centre) including:
    • Art centre biography (max. 150 words)
    • 2 images of artists making work and photo credits
  • Artist details including:
    • Full name
    • Place of birth
    • Year of birth (or an estimate)
    • Language group/s
    • Live and works in
  • Artist biography (max. 150 words)
  • Artist headshot (if available) and photo credit

For each artwork you will need:

  • Artwork details including:
    • Name of work
    • Year it was completed (or will be completed)
    • Catalogue number (if applicable)
    • Medium/s
    • Dimensions in cm (width, height, depth)
  • Any additional artwork credits (technical or production support)
  • Artwork story (max. 150 words)
  • Brief description of any workshop/professional development that contributed to making the artwork (if applicable)
  • Installation and audio/visual requirements (if it has specific needs)
  • Images of artwork and photo credits
    • 1 image of a completed work (required) and behind-the-scenes images (optional)
    • OR 3 images of a work-in-progress or site-specific work and 3 images of previous works
  • Artwork price (if applicable) or a brief reason it is not for sale

For a work-in-progress or site-specific work, you will also need:

  • Brief description of the artwork being made (you must demonstrate the concept and timeline is achievable)
  • Date the artwork will be completed by
